Beer and cider. Frothy. Cold. Refreshing. Who knew there were so many different varieties, subtleties, flavours, and stories behind the brews? After the 2019 Crafted Festival in Broadbeach, you certainly will. Saturday 7th September in Kurrawa Park this glorious beachside location will come alive with over forty brewers taking up residence and offering up their very best for you to sample and enjoy.
With over 200 types of beer and cider to try, food trucks on site to keep you fuelled up, and fantastic live music and interactive entertainment to keep you occupied, all that’s left is rounding up your favourite group of people to enjoy it all with. Australian brewers, as well as a few international visitors are welcomed this year.
This is an 18+ event, and the gates open from 12pm, and the event runs until 8:30pm. There are no pass outs, so plan to be inside the festival for the duration of the day. For anyone not quite ready to head home after it’s all over, you can take you pick from the array of pubs and bars lining the street of Broadbeach to keep the festivities going.
If beer and cider aren’t really your thing, but you still want to enjoy the festival, you’ll be happy to hear that there is a wide range of wine, spirits, and cocktails available as well. The location is on Old Burleigh Road just a little north of the Kurrawa Surf Club. Tickets need to be pre-purchased, this event often sells out well before the event.
For the health fanatics among us, you’ll be happy to hear that your fitness won’t need to take a back seat on festival day, with the ever popular beer-yoga back again this year. Grab your beer, and see if you can twist yourself into a pretzel without spilling a drop.
Take part in a friendly game of ping pong, but if you can’t help your competitive streak never fear- the Crafted Festival is running their annual ping pong competition and you can win some pretty awesome prizes if you’ve got the skills to make it to the top.
